How do I claim the $109 employee rate?+

Pick your test above, then enter GHFEmployee in the promo code field at checkout. The price will automatically drop to $109 for DEXA Body Composition, VO₂ Max, RMR, or Bone Density. Bring proof of GHF employment to your appointment.

What counts as proof of employment?+

A current GHF staff badge, a recent pay stub, or a staff email confirming active employment all work. You only need to show it once at your first appointment. The rate is non-transferable — it cannot be used by GHF members, family, or friends.

Which test should I start with?+

Most people start with DEXA Body Composition — it's the clearest, most complete picture of fat, muscle, and bone in 8 minutes. If your focus is performance or longevity, start with VO₂ Max. If you're optimizing nutrition, RMR. If you're concerned about bone health (especially post-40), Bone Density.

Can I book more than one test?+

Yes — the $109 rate applies to any single test, and you can book multiple tests across one or more visits. If you'd like to do two or more in the same visit, book them back-to-back in 30-minute slots. If you're doing VO₂ Max, make that your last appointment. Do I need to prepare before my appointment?+

Yes — and following the prep instructions matters. Tests done outside protocol may need to be rescheduled. Please review the full prep guide for your test here: gainesville.dexafit.com/test-prep.

How long does the appointment take?+

Plan for about 30 minutes per test, including check-in and a one-on-one walkthrough of your results. The DEXA scan itself takes only 8 minutes; VO₂ Max and RMR each take 15–20 minutes of measurement.

Is DEXA safe?+

Yes. DEXA uses very low-dose X-ray — roughly comparable to sitting outside for a few hours. It is non-invasive, painless, and takes about 8 minutes. It is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, as a precaution.
